Overview

TRDC002 is a radiopharmaceutical PET tracer developed by C Ray Therapeutics for the detection and localization of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-positive lesions. It consists of a PSMA-targeting ligand labeled with the radioisotope Copper-64 (64Cu). PSMA is a cell surface protein that is significantly overexpressed in the majority of prostate cancer cells, particularly in metastatic and recurrent disease. The use of 64Cu, which has a half-life of approximately 12.7 hours, offers advantages over shorter-lived isotopes like Gallium-68, including the ability to perform delayed imaging for improved tumor-to-background ratios and the feasibility of centralized production and distribution to remote clinical sites.
