A combination regimen of **trebananib** and **sorafenib**. Trebananib is a peptibody that binds and neutralizes angiopoietins 1 and 2, blocking their interaction with the Tie2 receptor and thereby inhibiting angiogenesis. Sorafenib is a small molecule kinase inhibitor that targets several tyrosine kinases, including vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR), RAF kinases, and others, leading to inhibition of tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis. This combination has been studied mainly in advanced cancers such as renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Clinical studies show generally acceptable safety profiles for the combination, but efficacy results do not demonstrate improved progression-free survival versus sorafenib monotherapy in HCC.
