Trequilon

Trequilon is a topical combination cream containing fluocinolone acetonide (0.01%), hydroquinone (4%), and tretinoin (0.05%). Developed by Innapharma, it is indicated for the short-term treatment of moderate-to-severe melasma of the face. The combination works synergistically: hydroquinone acts as a melanin synthesis inhibitor to lighten hyperpigmented areas; tretinoin, a retinoid, increases skin cell turnover to enhance the penetration of hydroquinone; and fluocinolone acetonide, a mild corticosteroid, reduces local inflammation and irritation associated with the other active ingredients.
