TresMonet

TresMonet is a topical triple-combination therapy indicated for the short-term treatment of moderate-to-severe melasma of the face. It combines three active ingredients: hydroquinone, a skin-bleaching agent; tretinoin, a retinoid that increases skin cell turnover; and mometasone furoate, a medium-potency corticosteroid that reduces inflammation. Hydroquinone works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, thereby preventing the synthesis of melanin. Tretinoin promotes the shedding of melanin-containing keratinocytes and enhances the penetration of hydroquinone. Mometasone furoate serves to mitigate the irritation and inflammation often caused by the other two components. This synergistic approach is designed to provide more effective depigmentation than any of the components used individually.
