Overview

tRF-ASO-Exo-PAE is an investigational ocular therapeutic consisting of a poly(beta-amino ester) hydrogel formulation loaded with exosomes carrying antisense oligonucleotides directed against tRNA-derived fragments. It is being developed by Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University for **diabetic ocular surface disease**, where local ocular delivery is intended to alleviate disease symptoms by modulating pathogenic tRNA-derived-fragment activity. A phase 2 clinical study has been registered to evaluate this formulation in patients with diabetic ocular surface diseases.
