Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tri-Ax™ (Halberd nasal spray) is a patent-pending, multi-part therapeutic formulation being developed by Halberd Corporation for the treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and related neurodegenerative conditions. The drug is designed for rapid, point-of-injury administration via an intranasal route, potentially using an auto-nasal injector developed in partnership with Athena GTX. Its mechanism of action involves the inhibition of excess inflammatory cytokines and the blocking of specific proteins that are overproduced following head trauma, which helps to mitigate secondary brain damage and support natural recovery. The product has undergone Phase II animal testing at Mississippi State University, demonstrating efficacy in improving motor activity post-impact. Beyond TBI, the company is exploring its application in PTSD, Alzheimer's disease, and epilepsy.
