Overview

A combination of two corticosteroids (triamcinolone and betamethasone) used primarily for the treatment of inflammatory conditions, particularly keloids. This combination leverages the anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and tissue proliferation inhibitory properties of both medications.\n\nStudies have shown that sequential treatment with triamcinolone acetonide combined with compound betamethasone was more effective than compound betamethasone alone for keloid treatment, with a total effective rate of 82% compared to 54% for the control group. Both medications individually are used for a wide range of inflammatory and allergic conditions. When used together for keloid treatment, the medications are administered as sequential injections.
