Fuyanning Cream (brand name Fu Yan Ning) is a topical combination pharmaceutical product developed and manufactured by Yangzijiang Pharmaceutical Group (Jiangsu Pharmaceutical). It contains two active ingredients: triamcinolone acetonide acetate, a medium-strength corticosteroid, and econazole nitrate, a broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal agent. The formulation is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions complicated by fungal infections, including dermatitis, eczema, and various types of tinea (such as tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea cruris). It is also used for diaper dermatitis, paronychia, and mixed bacterial-fungal skin infections. Triamcinolone provides anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and antiallergic effects by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators, while econazole acts by disrupting fungal cell membrane permeability through the inhibition of ergosterol synthesis via the lanosterol 14-alpha demethylase enzyme.
