Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TrichoGene MinoxyBoost is a topical retinoid gel containing 0.1% tretinoin, developed by Trichogene. It is specifically indicated for individuals with androgenetic alopecia who do not respond to minoxidil treatment. The drug functions by upregulating the activity of the scalp sulfotransferase enzyme (SULT1A1). This enzyme is responsible for converting minoxidil into its active metabolite, minoxidil sulfate. By increasing SULT1A1 levels, MinoxyBoost aims to convert minoxidil non-responders into responders, thereby improving hair regrowth outcomes.
