Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Trifolium pratense pollen, also known as red clover pollen, is a natural product derived from the *Trifolium pratense* plant. It is recognized for its rich nutritional composition, including proteins, amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. As a component of bee pollen, it contributes to the overall health benefits associated with bee pollen, such as antioxidant and immunomodulatory effects. Red clover itself is known to contain isoflavonoids, which exhibit estrogenic activity and are often studied for their potential role in managing menopausal symptoms, supporting cardiovascular and bone health, and their implications in certain cancers. The pollen, therefore, is considered a nutraceutical and is commonly incorporated into dietary supplements.
