Triglu‑5‑formyl‑tetrahydrofolate is a polyglutamated derivative of folinic acid (also known as leucovorin or 5‑formyltetrahydrofolate), in which three glutamate residues are attached to the folate core. It is a member of the folic acid and derivatives class and acts as a coenzyme in one-carbon transfer reactions essential for nucleotide biosynthesis and amino acid metabolism.
