Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Trimer 4571 vaccine + alum is an investigational HIV vaccine designed to stimulate the development of broadly neutralizing antibodies (bnAbs) against HIV. It consists of Trimer 4571 (BG505 DS-SOSIP.664), a prefusion-closed stabilized HIV-1 Env trimer, adjuvanted with aluminum hydroxide (alum) to enhance immune response. The vaccine aims to help the immune system produce broadly neutralizing antibodies that can recognize and block many types of HIV from entering healthy cells and may also activate other immune cells to help destroy HIV-infected cells.
