Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TriMix-DC is a therapeutic vaccine consisting of autologous dendritic cells (DCs) electroporated with mRNA encoding CD40 ligand (CD40L), CD70, and Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). This combination creates mature DCs capable of activating T-cell responses against tumor antigens. When used for melanoma treatment (as TriMixDC-MEL), the DCs are additionally loaded with tumor antigen-encoding mRNA. The therapy works by stimulating the immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells, particularly inducing strong CD8+ T-cell responses.
