trimodulin

**Trimodulin** is an investigational, human plasma-derived polyvalent immunoglobulin preparation developed for severe community-acquired pneumonia. It contains approximately 56% immunoglobulin G, 23% immunoglobulin M, and 21% immunoglobulin A, providing broader antibody-mediated anti-infective and immunomodulatory activity than conventional IgG-only intravenous immunoglobulin products. Its heterogeneous polyclonal antibodies may opsonize and promote clearance of pathogens, neutralize microbial virulence factors including endotoxins and exotoxins, and modulate dysregulated inflammatory responses associated with severe pneumonia, respiratory failure, sepsis, and multiorgan dysfunction. Trimodulin is administered intravenously as an adjunct to standard of care and remains in Phase 3 development for severe community-acquired pneumonia.
