Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Triptorelin-Alginate-AuNPs** are an experimental, alginate-coated gold nanoparticle nanocomplex functionalized with the gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist peptide triptorelin. Triptorelin is used as a targeting ligand for cancer cells expressing the gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor, while the high-atomic-number gold core increases X-ray attenuation for molecular computed tomography imaging and may enhance radiation-induced cytotoxicity. The construct has been evaluated in vitro in MCF-7 breast cancer cells as a targeted CT contrast agent and radiosensitizer, and in prostate cancer cell models for targeted molecular CT imaging. It remains an academic preclinical research nanocomplex without an assigned INN, marketed brand, clinical trial program, or commercial manufacturer.
