Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The trivalent influenza virus split vaccine + ZFA02 adjuvant is an investigational adjuvanted split-virus influenza vaccine being developed by Zhifei Biotech (specifically its wholly-owned subsidiary, Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biologic Pharmacy). It is designed for the prevention of seasonal influenza caused by vaccine-related influenza virus strains (typically influenza A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and influenza B/Victoria). The vaccine combines inactivated, split influenza virus antigens with Zhifei's proprietary ZFA02 adjuvant, which is formulated to enhance strain-specific humoral and cellular immune responses against the hemagglutinin (HA) antigens. In April 2025, the vaccine received clinical trial approval (IND approval) from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China.
