Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TRN-001 is an investigational mRNA-based therapy developed by Turn Biotechnologies for the treatment of hair and skin conditions, including aesthetic issues such as wrinkles, skin texture changes, hair loss, hair color loss, and scars. It also targets therapeutic needs like inflammation, frailty, wounds, and sun damage. The drug is designed to repair tissue at the cellular level by restoring youthful function to cells through epigenetic reprogramming using Turn Bio’s proprietary ERA technology. Delivered via a lipid particle carrier system (eTurna), TRN-001 aims to improve skin integrity, reduce inflammation and cell senescence, and restore the ability of hair follicles to grow hair. Preclinical results have shown improvements in these parameters. The product is currently in preclinical development.
