Overview
TRN-157 is a long-acting M3 muscarinic receptor antagonist (LAMA) under development for the treatment of chronic respiratory diseases, specifically chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema, as well as mild and moderate asthma. The drug is administered via inhalation, typically using a nebulizer. It acts by selectively antagonizing the M3 muscarinic receptor in the airways, leading to bronchodilation and improved lung function. TRN-157 was initially developed by Theron Pharmaceuticals and has also been studied in collaboration with Shandong Lukang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd[1][2][4].
