TRN-261

**TRN-261** is a first-in-class non-opioid peptide analgesic acquired by Tris Pharma in 2022 for development in multiple acute and chronic pain indications where opioid alternatives are lacking. It has been extensively studied in non-pain indications, supporting a prior New Drug Application (NDA) filing with the FDA (which received a Complete Response Letter unrelated to safety), generating a large safety dataset. Proof-of-concept studies have demonstrated efficacy in acute and chronic pain models, and Tris plans to leverage its formulation expertise and established safety profile for further late-stage development toward breakthrough pain relief without addiction risks.[1][4][16]
