Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Trop-1 vaccine is an experimental immunotherapeutic vaccine designed to target breast cancer. It utilizes genetically modified fibroblast cells that express the tumor-associated calcium signal transducer-1 (Trop-1) antigen, along with interleukin-2 (IL-2) and allogeneic MHC class I H-2K(b)-determinants. This vaccine aims to induce a CD8+ cell-mediated immune response against breast cancer cells, which has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and prolong survival in mouse models of breast cancer.
