Overview
TRS02 is a slow-release, biodegradable intravitreal injection formulation of dazdotuftide, a small molecule immunomodulator developed by Tarsier Pharma (formerly Tarsius Pharma). It is designed to treat back-of-the-eye inflammatory diseases by "re-engineering" the immune system to resolve inflammation without the intraocular pressure (IOP) elevation typically associated with steroids. The drug is currently being evaluated for conditions including intermediate, posterior, or panuveitis, diabetic macular edema (DME), non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR), and dry age-related macular degeneration (Dry AMD). TRS02 is designed to provide sustained anti-inflammatory effects through a unique mechanism that targets the underlying inflammatory pathology of retinal diseases.
