TruActive NF

TruActive NF is a milk-based protein concentrate (MPC 85) developed by Tamarack Biotics using a proprietary non-thermal manufacturing process. This process combines ultraviolet (UV) light treatment (utilizing SurePure's Turbulator technology) and low-temperature drying to achieve pathogen reduction equivalent to traditional pasteurization while preserving the bioactivity of immune-active proteins. Unlike standard high-heat processing which denatures these proteins, TruActive NF retains approximately 71% of the immune-active proteins found in raw milk, including immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, complement proteins, and antibacterial proteins. It is designed as a functional food ingredient and dietary supplement for use in sports nutrition, elderly health (specifically to enhance vaccine response), early childhood nutrition, and conditions such as sarcopenia and malnutrition. The product has received Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) status from the FDA and has been evaluated in clinical trials, including a double-blind placebo-controlled study with UC Davis.
