Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TRX-ADC is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) platform being developed by TaiRx for the treatment of cancer. The platform utilizes targeted antibodies to deliver CVM-1125, the active metabolite of the small-molecule anticancer drug CVM-1118 (foslinanib), directly to tumor cells. CVM-1125 acts as a cytotoxic payload by directly binding to and inhibiting tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated protein 1 (TRAP1), which prevents TRAP1 from inhibiting succinate dehydrogenase (SDH). This leads to a reduction in succinate levels, promoting the degradation of hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF1a), inducing tumor cell apoptosis, and inhibiting vasculogenic mimicry and tumor cell metabolic pathways. TRX-ADC is currently in the discovery and preclinical stages of development.
