TRX103 is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf engineered Type 1 regulatory T (Tr1) cell therapy developed by Tr1X. It is produced by transducing CD4+ T cells from healthy donors with a lentiviral vector encoding the human interleukin-10 (IL-10) gene and a non-signaling truncated form of the human Nerve Growth Factor Receptor (ΔNGFR). This engineering process generates cells that mimic the immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory functions of naturally occurring Tr1 cells. TRX103 is designed to restore immune tolerance and is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2a clinical trials for the prevention of Graft versus Host Disease (GvHD) in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and for the treatment of refractory Crohn's disease.
