Overview

TRX2 is a molecular food supplement (nutraceutical) developed by Oxford Biolabs Ltd. for the management of hair loss and thinning. The product was formulated based on research into the role of potassium channels in hair follicles, specifically the hypothesis that impaired potassium channel function contributes to hair follicle miniaturization in androgenetic alopecia. TRX2 contains a proprietary combination of L-carnitine-L-tartrate, potassium chloride, branched-chain amino acids (L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine), nicotinamide, and biotin. The supplement is intended to support the maintenance of normal hair by facilitating the transport of nutrients into the hair follicle and stimulating hair follicle metabolism. It is marketed as a non-pharmaceutical, drug-free alternative to traditional hair loss treatments like minoxidil or finasteride.
