Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TRX518 + nivolumab is a combination of two monoclonal antibodies under investigation for the treatment of advanced solid tumors and metastatic cancers. TRX518 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets glucocorticoid-induced TNF receptor-related protein (GITR), enhancing anti-tumor immune responses by activating effector T cells and reducing immunosuppression from regulatory T cells. Nivolumab, marketed as Opdivo, is a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody that blocks programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) on T cells, preventing tumor-mediated immune evasion and restoring anti-tumor immunity. The combination aims to leverage complementary mechanisms to boost immune-mediated cancer cell elimination[1][2][7][8].
