Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kymonorm Forte is an oral enteric-coated tablet formulation of the proteolytic enzyme combination trypsin and chymotrypsin. Developed by TCF Pharmaceuticals, it is used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous agent to reduce swelling, edema, and pain associated with post-operative wounds, traumatic injuries, fractures, and other acute inflammatory conditions. Trypsin and chymotrypsin are serine proteases that act synergistically to break down fibrin barriers and proteinaceous debris at the site of injury, thereby improving microcirculation, facilitating fluid drainage, and accelerating the body's natural tissue repair processes.
