Trypsinogen + chymotrypsinogen (PRP) is a fixed-ratio combination of two pancreatic proenzymes (zymogens) — trypsinogen and chymotrypsinogen — being developed by Propanc Biopharma for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including pancreatic, ovarian, and colorectal cancers. Administered intravenously, these inactive precursors are activated in vivo into trypsin and chymotrypsin, which act as agonists on proteinase-activated receptors (PAR-2 and PAR-1, respectively). The therapy is designed to target cancer stem cells, reverse epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), inhibit tumor angiogenesis, and remodel the tumor microenvironment, promoting the differentiation of malignant cells into a normal phenotype without the severe toxicities associated with traditional cytotoxic chemotherapies.
