Overview

TS-032 (also known as PF-04802540 or PF-4802540) is an oral small molecule drug that acts as an agonist of the metabotropic glutamate receptor 2. It was developed primarily for the treatment of schizophrenia. The drug was initially developed by Taisho Pharmaceutical and also referenced in collaboration with Pfizer. Its mechanism of action involves activation of metabotropic glutamate receptor 2, which is believed to modulate neurotransmission relevant to schizophrenia symptoms. Clinical development included Phase 1 studies evaluating safety and pharmacokinetics in both healthy volunteers and subjects with schizophrenia; however, development for this indication was discontinued at the Phase 1 stage[1][3][4].
