TS-133

TS-133 is a small molecule topical hair growth promoter currently under clinical investigation by Taisho Pharmaceutical for the treatment of alopecia, specifically androgenetic alopecia (male pattern hair loss). Formulated for once-daily topical application, the drug is believed to function as a selective prostaglandin F (FP) receptor agonist. By targeting FP receptors in the hair follicle, TS-133 aims to stimulate the transition of hair follicles from the telogen (resting) phase to the anagen (growth) phase and prolong the duration of the growth phase, thereby increasing hair density and thickness. It is currently in Phase 2 clinical development in Japan.
