TS-PL

TS-PL is an up-sized microbubble contrast agent formulation, derived from the standard TS-P formulation by depleting small diameter particles to achieve a mean diameter of 2.9 μm. It is designed to enhance the antitumor efficacy of ultrasonic cavitation, a novel approach for cancer treatment. In preclinical studies, TS-PL demonstrated a significant reduction in tumor volume, increased tumor cell necrosis and apoptosis, and decreased expression of CD31 and MVD in pancreatic cancer models, compared to the standard TS-P formulation. This indicates its potential as an enhanced therapeutic agent for pancreatic cancer by optimizing microbubble size distribution for improved cavitation activity.
