Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TSG-01 is an innovative botanical drug candidate developed by Shanghai Hongyitang Biopharmaceutical Technology, primarily composed of ginsenosides. It is currently in Phase IIa clinical development in China for the treatment of chronic heart failure (CHF) in patients with coronary heart disease. The drug's mechanism involves promoting myocardial energy metabolism and ATP production, enhancing coronary blood supply, and improving myocardial contractility. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that TSG-01 can reduce damage to human pulmonary microvascular endothelial cell connections, resist arrhythmias, and regulate lipid metabolism disorders caused by myocardial ischemia. Additionally, it has shown potency in inducing diuresis without significant effects on urinary potassium levels in animal models.
