Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TSND-201 is a proprietary, rapid-acting neuroplastogen formulation of methylone developed by Transcend Therapeutics. It is designed as a non-hallucinogenic analog of MDMA and acts primarily as a triple reuptake inhibitor and releaser at the monoamine transporters—serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine—without activity at the 5HT-2a receptor. This mechanism distinguishes it from classic psychedelics. TSND-201 has demonstrated rapid, robust, and durable efficacy in reducing symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in clinical trials, with significant improvements observed within days after dosing. The drug is being developed for PTSD and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders such as major depressive disorder (MDD). Clinical studies have shown that TSND-201 can induce remission or significant symptom reduction in a substantial proportion of patients with treatment-resistant PTSD[1][3][4][5][6][7].
