TSP-101

TSP-101 is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of cachexia, a severe wasting syndrome commonly associated with cancer and other chronic diseases. The drug is designed to block the signaling of specific factors that are overexpressed in various cancers with a high incidence of cachexia. By so doing, TSP-101 aims to suppress cancer-derived systemic inflammatory responses and improve the tumor microenvironment, potentially providing both anti-cachexia and anticancer effects. Originally a preclinical asset from Astellas Pharma that was discontinued for strategic reasons, development has been taken over by Tensegrity Pharma. The company plans to advance TSP-101 into Phase 1/2 clinical trials to establish proof of concept[1][2][3][4][5].
