Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TSR-026 is an orally bioavailable small-molecule prodrug and analogue of the neuraminidase inhibitor zanamivir, developed by TSRL to enable convenient oral treatment of influenza. By using a proprietary transporter-targeted absorption technology, TSR-026 is designed to enhance intestinal uptake and systemic exposure of a zanamivir-like antiviral that is otherwise limited to inhaled administration, potentially improving treatment of respiratory flu in patients with compromised lung function while maintaining a favorable resistance profile against circulating influenza virus strains.[2][7][11]
