Overview
**TST001 + paclitaxel** is a combination therapy under clinical investigation for advanced or metastatic solid tumors, particularly those expressing claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), such as gastric and gastroesophageal junction (G/GEJ) cancers. TST001 (osemitamab) is a humanized monoclonal IgG1 antibody that targets CLDN18.2, a tight junction protein abnormally expressed in several cancers. TST001 mediates its effect primarily through enhanced antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), leading to immune-mediated lysis of CLDN18.2-positive tumor cells[1][2][4][6]. Paclitaxel is a microtubule-stabilizing chemotherapeutic agent that inhibits mitosis, widely used in oncology[7]. The combination is being studied to exploit potential additive or synergistic antitumor effects from targeted immunotherapy and cytotoxic chemotherapy.
