TST801 is a preclinical-stage bispecific protein (BsP) developed by Suzhou Transcenta for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. It is designed to simultaneously target and neutralize two key cytokines in the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily: B-cell activating factor (BAFF) and a proliferation-inducing ligand (APRIL). Both BAFF and APRIL are critical regulators of B-cell survival, maturation, and differentiation, and their dysregulation is implicated in the pathogenesis of various autoimmune conditions, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and IgA nephropathy. By dual-targeting these pathways, TST801 aims to provide enhanced therapeutic efficacy compared to agents that target BAFF alone.
