Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TSX-002 is a novel, oral formulation of unmodified (native) testosterone developed by TesoRx Pharma. It is designed as a testosterone replacement therapy for the treatment of hypogonadism and constitutional delay of growth and puberty (CDGP), particularly in adolescent males. Unlike other testosterone therapies that use modified forms or non-oral routes, TSX-002 delivers bio-identical testosterone orally using a proprietary pro-liposomal formulation. The drug acts as a testosterone congener stimulant and replacement, aiming to restore physiological levels of the hormone in patients with androgen deficiency. Clinical studies have shown favorable safety profiles in over 150 patients tested to date. The product was granted orphan drug status for hypogonadism but development has been discontinued for this indication.
