Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TSX-049 is a novel, oral formulation of testosterone undecanoate (TU) developed by TesoRx Pharma for the treatment of hypogonadism in males. The drug utilizes TesoRx's proprietary proliposomal delivery platform, which is designed to enhance the bioavailability of testosterone and provide a dose response sufficient to overcome negative feedback of gonadal testosterone production. As an androgen receptor agonist, TSX-049 acts as a testosterone replacement therapy to restore physiological testosterone levels. This small molecule therapeutic aims to offer improved safety and convenience compared to traditional topical gels or injectable treatments. It has been evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials.
