Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TSY-210 (also referred to as TSY-0210) is an antibiotic drug candidate under development by Formosa Pharmaceuticals, specifically targeting antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) and nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infections. As a drug repurposing project, it leverages a known antibiotic with a potent spectrum of activity against high-priority pathogens identified by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To address the drug's low water solubility, Formosa utilizes its proprietary Active Pharmaceutical Nanoparticle Technology (APNT) to enhance dissolution and physicochemical properties. The project is being developed in collaboration with AimMax Therapeutics to explore novel disease applications and features an optimized manufacturing process designed for improved purity and yield compared to existing marketed versions of the active ingredient.
