Overview

TT-P38 is a novel SorCS2-derived peptide therapeutic being developed by Teitur Trophics for the treatment of sensorineural hearing loss. The drug targets the SorCS2 receptor pathway to selectively activate and enhance the endogenous production of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) within the cochlea. By boosting BDNF levels, TT-P38 aims to promote neuroprotection and synaptic regeneration, specifically addressing cochlear synaptopathy. It is currently in preclinical development for indications including age-related hearing loss, noise-induced hearing loss, and hidden hearing loss, supported by the RE-HEAR project collaboration.
