Overview

TT-ROMI is a first-in-class small molecule inhibitor of **Reactive Oxygen Species Modulator 1 (ROMO1)**, currently under development by **TransThera Biosciences** (also known as Yaojie Ankang) for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. ROMO1 is a mitochondrial membrane protein that plays a pivotal role in the regulation of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Overexpression of ROMO1 is associated with increased oxidative stress, tumor cell proliferation, and resistance to chemotherapy in various malignancies. TT-ROMI is designed to bind to and inhibit ROMO1, thereby disrupting mitochondrial redox balance and triggering programmed cell death in cancer cells. The asset is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor activity.
