Overview

TU7710 is a novel, long-acting recombinant activated factor VII (rFVIIa) developed as a bypassing agent for the treatment of hemophilia A and B patients with inhibitors. It is designed using transferrin fusion gene recombination technology to significantly extend its half-life—by 5 to 7 times compared to conventional rFVIIa products like NovoSeven (eptacog alfa)—allowing for less frequent dosing and improved patient convenience. The drug acts by providing an exogenous source of activated factor VII, which can bypass the need for factors VIII or IX in the coagulation cascade, thus enabling clot formation even in patients who have developed neutralizing antibodies against standard replacement therapies. Clinical trials have demonstrated favorable safety and pharmacokinetic profiles, with no serious adverse events reported in early-phase studies[1][2][4][5][6][7].
