Overview

Tucidinostat + nab-paclitaxel is a combination therapy being evaluated for the treatment of advanced hormone receptor-positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) breast cancer. Tucidinostat (also known as chidamide) is an orally bioavailable, subtype-selective histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor that targets HDAC1, 2, 3, and 10. It acts as an epigenetic modulator, reversing resistance to endocrine therapy and enhancing immune response. Nab-paclitaxel is an albumin-bound nanoparticle formulation of the microtubule inhibitor paclitaxel, designed to improve solubility and delivery to tumor tissues. This specific combination is being investigated in a Phase II clinical trial sponsored by Hunan Cancer Hospital to assess safety and efficacy in postmenopausal women whose disease has progressed.
