Overview

Tucotuzumab celmoleukin is a recombinant fusion protein composed of a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) linked to an active interleukin-2 (IL2) molecule. It functions as an immunocytokine, delivering IL2 directly to EpCAM-expressing tumor cells, thereby stimulating immune responses against cancer. The drug was developed as an antineoplastic agent and has demonstrated immunologic activity in cancer patients. Its mechanism involves both antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity and immunostimulation via IL2 receptor activation[1][3][4][6].
