tulieve

Tulieve is a veterinary injectable solution containing tulathromycin, a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic. It is indicated for the treatment and metaphylaxis of respiratory diseases in cattle (bovine respiratory disease, BRD), pigs (swine respiratory disease, SRD), and sheep (early stages of foot rot). In cattle, it also treats infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (IBK). Tulathromycin acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, providing bacteriostatic activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens. Tulieve is administered as a single low-volume dose and is rapidly absorbed with long-acting effects. It serves as a generic alternative to Draxxin.
