Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tulo-Touch is a transdermal patch formulation of tulobuterol, a small molecule beta-2 adrenergic receptor (ADRB2) agonist. Developed by Sparsha Pharma International, it is designed for the treatment and prevention of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The patch utilizes a specialized drug-in-adhesive delivery system to provide sustained release of tulobuterol over a 24-hour period, facilitating once-daily dosing. By stimulating beta-2 receptors in the lungs, it promotes bronchodilation by relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways, thereby improving airflow and easing respiratory symptoms. Launched in 2015, the product is available in multiple strengths (0.5mg, 1mg, and 2mg) to cater to pediatric and adult patient populations.
