Overview

Tulsi extract, also known as holy basil extract, is derived from the Ocimum tenuiflorum (or Ocimum sanctum) plant native to India and Southeast Asia. It has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine and is considered sacred in Hindu tradition. ## Composition and Forms Tulsi extract contains various bioactive phytochemicals including rosmarinic acid, apigenin, ursolic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, and eugenol[3]. These compounds contribute to its medicinal properties.
