Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TULY is a pharmaceutical drug that contains rasburicase, a recombinant urate oxidase enzyme. It is developed for the prevention and treatment of malignancy-associated hyperuricemia, a condition characterized by elevated uric acid levels in the blood, often seen in patients with certain cancers like non-Hodgkin lymphoma or acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Rasburicase works by catalyzing the oxidation of uric acid into allantoin, a more soluble compound that is easily excreted by the kidneys, thereby reducing uric acid levels.
