Overview

Tumor-draining lymph node-derived lymphocytes are a cell therapy product consisting of autologous (patient-specific) immune cells isolated from the patient's own tumor-draining lymph nodes and expanded ex vivo. These cells are enriched for anti-tumor reactivity because the tumor-draining lymph nodes are primary sites where anti-tumor T cells are primed by exposure to tumor antigens. After isolation and expansion, these activated and potentially tumor-reactive T cells can be reinfused into the patient as an adoptive cell therapy to enhance anti-tumor immunity. This approach is being investigated primarily in cancer immunotherapy, including for solid tumors such as colorectal cancer and melanoma[5][6]. The mechanism of action involves direct cytotoxicity against cancer cells mediated by activated T cells that recognize specific tumor antigens.
